One of the best moments of my life was in high school; cruising down HWY 17 toward Santa Cruz, bare feet on the dash board, the sun on my well tanned face and Bob Marley's Legend in the tape player. To this day, it evokes a sense of freedom and sunny bliss.

My eco-friendly House of Marley headphones arrived to my home in Utah during a blizzard. I quickly busted open the box and ran for my ipod. After a few minutes, I turned some Marley on the computer and declared to my children that we would be having a luau for dinner. While this does not attest to my sanity, (I'll admit, there was some couch dancing) it's certainly more proof that music has the power to change. There is little more that motivates me during training or before a race than some good music. In fact, most of my favorite memories have a soundtrack. The bright vibrant designs and clear sound provided by House of Marley make the perfect vessel for your ear candy of choice. Check out a few styles we tested for your listening pleasure:

- 17Hz- 20kHz frequency
- 50mm dynamic moving coil speaker

The Experience
The clear sound and excellent bass with the Positive Vibration is fantastic. While I found the on-ear design very comfortable, my husband's outer ear got a bit sore when using them for more than an hour at a time. It's really personal preference, but House of Marley does offer over-ear headphones to accommodate. If you haven't experienced a really good pair of on-ear headphones I highly recommend you give them a try. You will love the quality and experience of a really good sound. I loved the canvas look and the bright colors, and coming in at $59.99 retail they are a solid buy for the money.

The Experience
We originally wanted to test the more expensive pair of in-ear headphones but decided a brand is only as good as it's least expensive products so we gave the Smile Jamaica a whirl. We were not disappointed! First of all, I loved the wood styling and the the three sizes of ear tips included helped me get a premium fit. The next thing that stuck out was the powerful bass. They have done a fantastic job of getting a nice crisp sounds even at low volume. I had no problems with the ear-buds falling out even when I tugged slightly on the cord. I found the remote/ mic feature especially helpful when working out. I like being able to catch my calls and go right back to training. At $29.99, they're a quality purchase.
